This is a solid silver ring that I have made using the wax casting method. It was the first time I had worked with silver and wax so it was a very interesting process to learn and try to master. 

As you can see the surface is textured and i did this by indenting the wax form with different heated tools. I also added 3 small silver balls onto the ring to make it more three dimensional. I was inspired by Frances stunt, who is exhibiting at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, when designing this piece because she uses a lots of added on 3D shapes within her work. 

This image is just to show that I made the ring to size and it fits the intended finger. However after making the ring I now think that the band should've been slightly thinner so that it sits more comfortably on the hand.
